Selected collector's items from Germany:

GERETSRIED

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen (until 1973 Wolfratshausen)
Additions : 1978 Gelting

Wappen von Geretsried

Official blazon

In Silber ein blauer Schrägwellenbalken; oben ein blaues Zahnrad, unten eine grüne Tanne.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 11, 1960 and were newly devised as no older seals or images existed.

The wavy bend symbolises the Isar river, the pine tree symbolises the forests and the wheel the local industry. The colours are derived from the colours of Bayern.
