Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 9, 1949.

The main figure in the arms is the church of the Cistercian monastery in Kamp, built in 1630. The orb in the small shield is taken from the arms of the monastery. The plough iron represents the agriculture in Kamp. The miner's tools represent the mining activities in Lintorf.
