Official blazon

In Rot auf silbernem Stufensockel ein blau bedachter silberner Zinnenturm, dem ein Schildchen mit den bayerischen Rauten aufgelegt ist.

Origin/meaning

The oldest seal dates from the early 15^th century and already shows a tower with the small shield of the Wittelsbach family, as Dukes of Bayern. All seals until the late 18^th century all showed the same composition. In 1819 the tower was placed on a shield and the small shield was taken from the gate to a slightly higher position on the tower, the gate disappeared.
