  • (de) In Blau auf grünem Boden ein springender goldener Wolf mit einem silbernen Lamm im Rachen.

Origin/meaning

The arms of the city show a wolf holding a lamb. This composition already appeared on the oldest known seal of the city, dating from 1442. The meaning is noit known, probably the wolf is a canting symbol (lupus is Latin for wolf).
