Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 27, 1955.

The arms are derived from a seal of the local of the year 1698. The meaning of the symbols is unknown. The colours were taken from the arms of Bavaria, as the area belonged to the Bavarian Pfalz for many centureis.

This composition is still used by the municipality, even though new arms were granted in 1955.
