Timber and wood as well as the production of tanning liquid were important for the village. The four acorns refer to the hamlets of Oberpierscheid, Philippsweiler, Röllersdorf and Luppertsseifen in the municipality, as well as to the the four larger farms. | |||

Origin/meaning
