Official blazon

In Blau zwei abgewendete silberne Reiherhälse mit roten Schnäbeln.

Origin/meaning

Reichertshofen was made a town in 1449 and probably it had its first seal made. The seal is known from 1499 and shows two canting heron heads (Reiher=heron). The colours are known since the early 19th century and are most likely the Bavarian colours. The arms have thus basically never changed, although the image has changed with time, according to the fashion of the time.
