English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 6, 1981.

The arms show a pair of scales as the main element. The scales represent the former markets in the village, as well the historical court held in the village by the Von Rotenhan family. The family acquired the village in loan from the Bishop of Würzburg in 1497 and played a major role in the development of the village. In the 17th century they built their new estate in the village as well. The family arms are shon as a small shield under the scales in the municipal arms. The colours are those of the State of Wirzburg as well as from the Von Rotenhan family.
