ROHR IN NIEDERBAYERN
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Kelheim (until 1973 Rottenburg an der Laaber)
Additions : 1910 Klosterrohr; 1972 Obereulenbach; 1974 Laaberberg; 1978 Helchenbach, Offenstetten (partly), Sallingberg
Official blazon
Gespalten von Gold und Silber; vorne ein halber roter Adler am Spalt, hinten auf grünem Zweiberg zwei grüne Rohrhalme mit schwarzem Kolben.
Origin/meaning
Rohr was a property of the local Augustiner monastery and thus had no own seals or arms until 1803. The arms were first used around 1812 and show in the left part the canting Rohr-plants. The eagle is the eagle of Brandenburg, which represent the influence of the Markgraves of Brandenberg-Ansbach in the area.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
