SALZLANDKREIS (SLK)
State : Sachsen-Anhalt
Additions : 2007 Aschersleben-Stassfurt, Bernburg, Schönebeck
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 11, 2007.
The arms show in the first and fourth quarter a salt basket, which is a canting element for the name and the former salt mining in the area. The symbol is derived from the arms of the former town of Gross-Salze. The eagle is taken from the old arms of the Prussian province of Sachsen and the third quarter is taken from the arms of Anhalt.
