Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1954.

The arms are based on the old seal of the village from 1521 and combine the lion of the Pfalz with the diamonds of Bayern.

In 1956 the arms below were proposed, which also show a letter V for the village. This was also part of the old seal, but not granted.
