Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 24, 1818.

The arms simply refer to agriculture and show agricultural tools. The arms have no historical meaning and were designed for the small agricultural village in 1818. The colours are the Dutch national colours, which were retained after the Belgian independence.
