Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 12, 1975.
The arms are mainly based on the older arms of the Bromsgrove Rural District Council. The main additions to these older arms are:
The addition of the connecting rod, which symbolises the modern industry in the district, particularly the motor works in the town.
The addition of a boar to the crest. The boar symbolises the Bromsgrove Boar, subject of a medieval myth, when Bromsgrove stood in a forest.
