Catalogues
A catalogue of the stamps of the old and new series has been made. All stamps known are included with front (image) side and most also with the text (back) side. The towns are listed alphabetically, with the names used in the albums. This means that later additions, such as “Bad”, may not be listed. Similarly, when the name of the town has changed, like Cöpenick to Köpenick, Calkar to Kalkar, only the name as on the stamps is listed. Towns starting with Sankt are listed as St. when the image name is St. Goar for example, or as Sankt for Sankt Tönis for example.
The catalogue files show the name, the province, the number, the front and back image of the stamp, known variations and the name of the sheet on which the stamp was published (new series only). Unfortunately not all the back sides of the stamps are available, due to the (extreme) scarcity of unused stamps, the same for the sheets, which are even more rare.
When, for variations, the back or the front is identical to the image already shown, this is mentioned. Catalogue for the old series :
