Neue Reihe/New series

The new series was issued as loose sheets, which could be combined in 10 small, or 4 large albums. Although one was free to combine the albums at will, the company issued preferred lists of stamps per album. These were published in small leaflets (see the file other material) or in the main index-book issued in 1938.

For most states the arms were published by district (Regierungsbezirk), except for the State of Baden. The arms were alphabetically ordered by Regierungsbezirk, with the capital city as first. Later additions were numbered consecutively, but placed in other parts of the albums, often even in other provinces. The table below provides an overview of the States and their subdivisions, with the appropriate links to the pdf files.

The total number of official images issued is 2811, but around 3000 images are known. See the variations and catalogue files for all stamps.
