New Series - Variations

There are many different variations known in the new series. There are variations in the arms (stamps), the texts on the stamps, the names of province, the texts in the albums etc.

During the publishing period several arms were changed. Some of these are described and published in later issues of the albums, and can be found in the album files or the Nachträge (appendices). These are thus not considered variations.

The following categories of variations are known:

A : Variations in stamps

Arms published as regular corrections
New or changed arms, not published as regular corrections
Misprints
Variations in names of provinces/districts, status or inhabitants
Variations in name of town
Variations in text on back
Additional advertising

B : Variations in albums

Variations in texts of provinces/district pages

In many cases there are more variations involved for one town. These are all listed under the separate category.
