German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

OBERRONING

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Landshut (until 1973 Rottenburg an der Laaber)
Incorporated into : 1971 Oberhatzkofen (1978 Rottenburg an der Laaber)

Wappen von Oberroning

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 18, 1884.

The arms are supposedly based on the arms of the medieval counts of Ronning (who became extinct in 1179). More likely, the arms are based on that of their successors, the Counts of Moosburg.
