Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 15, 1969.
The beaver (Biber) and the division line are canting elements for -biberssbach. Bach means brook or stream. The silver and black colours are those of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, to whom the area historically belonged.
The hammer refers to the tile making and clay mining in the village.
