German In Rot auf grünem Dreiberg eine goldene Burg aus zwei gezinnten Flankentürmen und gezinnten höherem Hauptturm mit silbernem Rundportal und offenem schwarzen Fallgitter, überhöht von einem Schildchen, darin in Silber ein durchgehendes schwarzes Balkenkreuz.

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised in the 19th century and show the cross of the diocese of Köln on a castle. The castle the Castle of Bad Godesberg, the Godesburg, that rests on a mountain overlooking the entire town and surroundings. The castle was build in 1210 under Archbishop Dietrich von Hengebach.
