Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 8, 1909.
The arms show in the base of the shield the local patron saint, St. Martin. The image of the saint already appears on the oldest known seal of the local parish from 1631. The upper half of the arms show symbols for agriculture and industry.
Seal from around 1900 |
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
