TRAUTENSTEIN
State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Harz (until 2007 Wernigerode)
Incorporated into : 2002 Hasselfelde (2010 Oberharz am Brocken)
Official blazon
In Gold eine grüne Tanne auf gewölbtem grünen Schildfuß, begleitet von je einem schwarzen Bergmannsgezähe.
Origin/meaning
The arms were designed in 2005 and are based on the old, non heraldic, seal of the village. The arms symbolise the nature (pine tree, hill) and the former importance of mining for the village.
