Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 13, 1980.
The upper half refers to the arms of Schönau, as Rumbach historically belonged to the Amt Schönau. The lower half is canting. The pine trees refer to the forests, whereas the trunks refer to the word Ron(e), meaning fallen tree. Rumbach is derived from Ron-bach. Bach means stream or brook which is symbolized by the wavy division line.
